Over 80 years, Garvin’s Plumbing and Sewer has grown from its drain-cleaning roots to now include full-service plumbing. Although a third of our business is still doing basic drain cleaning and sewer service, we also employ half a dozen service plumbers who perform services from replacing faucets, repairing leaks, winterization, water heater repair, water heater replacement, boiler repairs, gas line installation and other skilled work.

Denver’s Oldest Drain & Sewer Company

Garvin’s Plumbing and Sewer began as Garvin’s Sewer Service in 1940 — Denver’s first professional drain-cleaning company. Founded by Russell P. Garvin, Garvin’s was passed to his great-nephew, Kenneth Aston in 1992. Currently, Kenneth’s three daughters run the day-to-day operations, making it a 3rd generation company.

Garvin’s spent several decades in the Golden Triangle district of Denver, near the Capital. In 2001, we expanded greatly and moved operations to Englewood where we could have a warehouse for supplies and offices to fit the growing staff. Today, we have over 30 staff who service the greater Denver area, including most areas within a one-hour drive of Denver.

All Garvin’s plumbing, drain cleaning and sewer scope employees are covered by Worker’s Compensation Insurance.

Our liability insurance covers all our employees and customers in every possible situation. All servicemen are apprentice plumbers.

We have uniform pricing and honor our warranty period. We value honesty in our dealings with the company and with our customers.

Whether we are in a residential or commercial setting, Garvin’s employees are trained and insured to conduct our plumbing, drain cleaning, sewer services and sewer camera services.

Declaration Of Service

When you contact Garvin’s Plumbing and Sewer our dispatcher will quote our prices over the phone and give you an estimated time of arrival that’s usually within two hours of your call to us, or within a two-hour appointment window. If you’d like, the dispatcher or service tech will call you when they are on their way.

• When your technician arrives, they’ll be wearing a Garvin’s uniform with a Garvin’s logo patch and a name patch or badge.
• Your technician will introduce themself and ask you about the problem(s) you are experiencing.
• You may ask for them to come in through an alternate entrance and/or to wear protective foot coverings.
• After your technician evaluates the problem, they will return to their truck for the needed equipment.
• Your technician will use protective mats and, as needed, a protective cover on their machine(s) to keep your areas as clean as possible. Sometimes access to the problem may require the technician to take his machine apart.

Upon completion of the job, whether it’s sewer cleaning or a drain cleaning service, your service tech will run a “system check.” This check involves running water and/or appliances as well as filling sinks/tubs etc. with water to check that they are all draining properly.

Sometimes, if the tech notices a slow-running drain, they may suggest having that secondary line cleaned. There is a discount for cleaning multiple lines at the time of the original service call, but this is at your discretion — we train drain cleaners, not salespeople.

After they have run the systems check, your tech will present you with an invoice and a magnet and/or a business card. You may pay by check, credit card or cash at the time of service.
